The Lebanon Yellowjackets will head out on the road to take on the Glendale Falcons at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Expect the scorekeeper to be kept busy: if their previous games are any indication, both teams will really light up the scoreboard.
Even though Lebanon has not done well against the Bulldogs recently (they were 1-8 in their previous nine matchups), they didn't let the past get in their way on Friday. Lebanon narrowly escaped with a victory as the team sidled past the Bulldogs 58-56.
Lebanon's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Noah Boggs led the charge by scoring 17 points. Boggs hasn't dropped below 15 points for three straight games. Caleb Ray was another key contributor, almost dropping a double-double on 11 points and nine rebounds.
Meanwhile, Glendale unfortunately witnessed the end of their four-game winning streak on Friday. They took a 87-75 hit to the loss column at the hands of Central. Glendale has not had much luck with the Bulldogs recently, as the team's come up short the last two times they've met.
Lebanon's win bumped their record up to 14-7. As for Glendale, their loss dropped their record down to 12-8.
Lebanon came up short against the Falcons when the teams last played back in February of 2023, falling 65-58. Can Lebanon avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
