The Somerville Yeguas will head out on the road to square off against the Burton Panthers at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Expect the scorekeeper to be kept busy: if their previous games are any indication, these teams will really light up the scoreboard.
As a matter of fact, Somerville put up the most runs they have all season on Friday. Everything went their way against Snook as they made off with a 19-1 win. Perhaps unsurprisingly given the team's high-flying offense, the game also marked the team's biggest victory of the season.

Emma Williams made a big impact no matter where she played. She looked comfortable on the mound, not allowing a single earned run and allowing only one hit while striking out ten over five innings pitched. With that strong performance, she is now averaging an impressive 5.1 strikeouts per game. She was also big at the plate, going 3-for-4 with one home run, six RBI, and three runs. Those six RBI gave her a new career-high.
In other batting news, Aubrey Flencher was a standout: she went 2-for-3 with three runs, one triple, and one stolen base. Another player making a difference was Abigail Richardson, who got on base in four of her five plate appearances with four runs and one RBI.
Somerville always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .615. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Snook only posted an OBP of .176.
Meanwhile, while Burton put up plenty of runs on Friday, the same can't be said for Milano. The Panthers put the hurt on the Eagles with a sharp 21-0 win. That's two games straight that the Panthers have won by exactly 21 runs.
Somerville has been performing well recently as they've won eight of their last ten contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 11-4 record this season. Those victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 11.4 runs over those games. As for Burton, their record is now 6-11.
Somerville suffered a grim 14-0 defeat to Burton in their previous meeting back in March of 2025. Can the Yeguas avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
