Two dominant guards in Kayleb Kearse and Jordan Dollar are getting ready to go toe-to-toe. The Serra Cavaliers's road trip will continue as they head out to face the Arcadia Apaches at 7:00 p.m. on February 13th. Serra knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with flashy point totals in its past five games -- so hopefully Arcadia likes a good challenge.
Two teams were on the hunt for playoff glory, but only Serra walked away with it. They came out on top in a nail-biter against the Olympians on Friday and snuck past 69-66. Having run the score up that high, both teams might be doing some extra defensive drills very soon.
Meanwhile, even though Troy scored an imposing 61 points on Friday, Arcadia still came out on top. Arcadia escaped with a win against Troy by the margin of a single free throw, 62-61. The victory made it back-to-back wins for Arcadia.
Arcadia's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Dollar, who scored 22 points along with two steals. Another player making a difference was Mansour Sanneh, who scored 16 points along with seven rebounds and five blocks.
Serra's victory bumped their record up to 18-12. As for Arcadia, they have been performing well recently as they've won seven of their last nine matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 21-9 record this season.
Serra beat Arcadia 67-56 in their previous matchup back in January of 2020. Will Serra repeat their success, or does Arcadia have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
