It can be hard to translate regular season success to the playoffs, but West Marion had no problem doing just that  on Friday. Everything went their way against the Southeast Lauderdale Tigers as they made off with  a  12-4 victory. The result was nothing new for the Trojans, who have now won 18 matches by six  runs or more  so far this season.
The  win was  the eighth in a row for West Marion, bringing their record up to 26-4. The  victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.9 runs on average over those games. As for Southeast Lauderdale,  this is the second loss in a row for them and  nudges their season record down to 12-19.
 Looking ahead, West Marion will take on Enterprise at 6:00  p.m.  on Wednesday. The two teams have allowed few  runs on average (the Trojans 2.4, the Bulldogs 2.2) so any  runs scored will be well earned. Southeast Lauderdale does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
