Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Southern Academy). Everything went their way against the North River Christian Chargers on Friday as they made off with a 19-1 win. Winning may never get old, but the Cougars sure are getting used to it with their sixth in a row.
Wyatt Martin was a major factor while hitting and pitching. He struck out six batters over 2.2 innings while giving up no earned runs or hits (and only one walk). He has been consistent recently: he hasn't tossed less than six strikeouts in three consecutive appearances. He was also big at the plate, getting on base in all three of his plate appearances with four RBI, one triple, and one run. That triple was his first of the season.
In other batting news, Southern Academy let BoBraeden Agee and Cooper Thorn run wild.
