Mohawk Area had to start their season on the road on Friday, and it wasn't the start they were hoping for. They took a 42-37 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Neshannock Lancers. The Warriors gained 96 more yards on the day, but it was the Lancers that made the best use of them.
Several Warriors players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Blake Logan, who picked up 167 receiving yards and two touchdowns. Logan's longest reception was for an incredible 77 yards. Another pass catcher making a difference was Bobby Fadden, who threw for 254 yards and two touchdowns.
Even though they lost, Mohawk Area was moving up and down the field and finished the game with 438 total yards. That's the most total yards they've posted since back in September of 2023.

Neshannock's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Anthony Eakin, who rushed for 133 yards and a touchdown on only 14 carries. Dom Cubellis made the highlight reel by snagging an interception and taking it all the way to the house.
Mohawk Area will host Laurel at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Mohawk Area will be looking to keep their five-game home win streak dating back to last season alive.
