Chicago Mathematics & Science had already won three in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 41.3 points), and they went ahead and made it four on Friday. They secured a 71-66 W over Chicago Sullivan. Having run the score up that high, both teams might be doing some extra defensive drills very soon.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Chicago Mathematics & Science to victory, but perhaps none more so than Marcus Hughes-Bey, who scored 23 points along with eight steals and seven blocks. Hughes-Bey is absolutely dominating the steal category: he's posted at least two every time he's taken the court this season. Joune Woods was another key contributor, scoring 21 points along with nine rebounds and three steals.

As for Chicago Sullivan, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 1-3.
Chicago Mathematics & Science will be home for the holidays to greet Southland College Prep at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Chicago Sullivan, they will head out on the road to face off against Little Village at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Little Village knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with flashy point totals in its past three matchups -- so hopefully Chicago Sullivan likes a good challenge.
