Blue Mountain is a perfect 10-0 against North Schuylkill since April of 2022 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Tuesday. The Eagles will host the Spartans at 6:30 p.m. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.
North Schuylkill will face off against a team with plenty of momentum: Blue Mountain extended their winning streak to four on Monday. The Eagles blew past Pottsville 12-2.
Emily Leonard spent all six innings played on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered only one earned (and one unearned) run on five hits and racked up nine Ks. She has been consistent: she hasn't given up more than two walks in five consecutive appearances.

At the plate, Blue Mountain got a massive performance out of Carla Boyer, who went 2-for-3 with two stolen bases, three runs, and three RBI. Those two stolen bases gave Boyer a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Avery Hudock, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with three stolen bases and three runs.
Blue Mountain always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .515. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Pottsville only posted an OBP of .167.
Meanwhile, North Schuylkill entered their tilt with Pottsville two weeks ago with two consecutive wins, and they'll enter their next game with three. They were the clear victors by a 12-1 margin over the Crimson Tide.
Brigid Flynn was a major factor while hitting and pitching. She tossed three innings while giving up just one earned run off four hits. Flynn was even better at the plate, going a perfect 3-for-3 with two triples, two RBI, and one run.
In other pitching news, Olivia Jones looked comfortable as she pitched two innings while giving up no earned runs or hits.
Back at the plate, North Schuylkill let Monica Selgrade and Kylie Meskunas run wild. Selgrade went 1-for-3 with three RBI, two runs, and one double, while Meskunas went a perfect 2-for-2 with two runs and one RBI. That double marked the first that Selgrade has hit this season. Maria Monahan was another key player, getting on base in two of her three plate appearances with two runs and one RBI.
Blue Mountain's victory bumped their record up to 10-2. As for North Schuylkill, their win bumped their record up to 5-1.
Blue Mountain's speedy runners might be the difference in Tuesday's game. The Eagles have been swiping bases left and right this season, having averaged 3.5 stolen bases per game. It's a different story for North Schuylkill, though, as they've been averaging only 0.5 stolen bases. Will they be able to secure the bases, or will Blue Mountain continue to outrun the ball?
Blue Mountain took their victory against North Schuylkill in their previous matchup back in March by a conclusive 11-3 score. Do the Eagles have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Spartans turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
