This season hasn't been kind to the East Duplin Panthers, who are still winless after their fifth contest. They took a 56-43 hit to the loss column at the hands of North Lenoir on Wednesday. East Duplin lost against North Lenoir in their previous head to head back in January, too, but the margin this time around was much wider than the 85-54 score last time.
Despite the loss, East Duplin still got an impressive performance from Jordan Hall, who scored 14 points along with six rebounds. Those 14 points set a new season-high mark for him. The team also got some help courtesy of Mason Whaley, who scored eight points.
East Duplin bumped their record down to 0-5 with that loss, which was their third straight on the road. As for North Lenoir, they now have a winning record of 5-4.
East Duplin's road trip will continue as they head out to face Princeton at 7:30 p.m. on December 22nd. Hopefully Princeton focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 16 on Wednesday. North Lenoir and J.H. Rose will round out the year against one another at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday at. Hopefully J.H. Rose focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 16 on Monday.
