The O'Fallon Panthers will head out on the road to face off against the Cahokia Comanches at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Cahokia took a loss in their last game and will be looking to turn the tables on O'Fallon, who comes in off a win.
Last Friday, O'Fallon got themselves on the board against Alton, but Alton never followed suit. They put the hurt on the Redbirds with a sharp 23-0 win. Given O'Fallon's advantage in MaxPreps' Illinois football rankings (they are ranked 72nd, while Alton is ranked 211th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Jahkori Adams had an outrageously good game as he rushed for 165 yards and three touchdowns.
Meanwhile, Cahokia unfortunately witnessed the end of their three-game winning streak on Friday. They were the victim of a tough 28-6 defeat at the hands of Collinsville. Having soared to a lofty 34 points in the game before, Cahokia couldn't push the score so high this time.
O'Fallon's victory ended a three-game drought on the road and puts them at 4-4. As for Cahokia, their loss dropped their record down to an identical 4-4.
Everything came up roses for O'Fallon against Cahokia in their previous meeting back in October of 2022 as the squad secured a 49-20 victory. One of the biggest obstacles trying to stand in the way of that victory was Cahokia's Omarion Gooden, who threw for 249 yards and two touchdowns, and also punched in a touchdown on the ground. Now that he won't be playing on Friday, will it be that much easier for O'Fallon to walk away with another win? Check MaxPreps.com after the match to find out.
