It can be hard to translate regular season success to the playoffs, but the Eastside Catholic Crusaders had no problem doing just that on Saturday. They came out on top against Kennewick by a score of 17-7. The win was familiar territory for Eastside Catholic who now have six in a row.
Among those leading the charge was Jeremiah Burroughs, who rushed for 172 yards and a touchdown while picking up 7.8 yards per carry.
Eastside Catholic pushed their record up to 9-2 with that victory, which was their 13th straight at home dating back to last season. They've been dominating during the matchups in that stretch too, as they've won by an average of 32.08 points. As for Kennewick, their loss dropped their record down to 10-2.
Eastside Catholic will face off against Yelm at 6:00 p.m. on Saturday. Yelm will be coming into the match with an undefeated record on the line. Kennewick does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
