Even though the Reedy Lions scored an imposing 55 points on Friday, the Frisco Raccoons still came out on top. Frisco took their match against Reedy 68-55. Given Frisco's advantage in MaxPreps' Texas basketball rankings (they are ranked 227th, while Reedy is ranked 471st), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Reedy lost despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Rylen Mitro, who scored 11 points along with nine rebounds. Jackson Ford was another key contributor, scoring 14 points along with three steals.
Frisco pushed their record up to 11-10 with that victory, which was their third straight at home. Those victories were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 64.7 points per game. As for Reedy, their defeat dropped their record down to 9-14.
Frisco will be playing at home against Newman Smith at 7:15 p.m. on Wednesday. Newman Smith has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last three games. As for Reedy, they will head out on the road to square off against Wakeland at 7:15 p.m. on Tuesday.
