Fishers (Ind.) extended its winning streak to six games with a 17-7 victory over
Zionsville (Ind.) on Saturday.
After taking the lead on a field goal by
Alex Sahakian in the second quarter, the Tigers were up 10-0 at the half.
Fishers saw its 10-point halftime lead fall to three entering the fourth.
Zionsville's lone touchdown came on a 1-yard run by
Cole Wendt in the third quarter.
FHS came in allowing an average of 28.2 points per game this season. A defensively strong the Tigers kept the Eagles well below the 14.8 points it had been averaging per game.
The defeat comes as a step back for Zionsville, which notched a 35-13 victory over Harrison in its previous outing.
In a Hoosier Crossroads game next week Zionsville (3-4) takes on Brownsburg, and Fishers (6-1) will go up against Brownsburg also in a Hoosier Crossroads game.
