Trent Collin turned in yet another pitching appearance with more than nine strikeouts on Wednesday. He struck out eight batters over four innings while giving up no earned runs or hits, good enough for us to rate the performance as the best he's had all season long. He has become a key player for Winthrop: the team is 3-1 when he allows at most two earned runs, but 2-4 otherwise.

Looking ahead, Collin and Winthrop will head out on the road to square off against Monmouth Academy at 4:00 p.m. on Saturday. The Mustangs swept Oak Hill off the field in their last game, a feat they'll no doubt try to repeat. Will the Ramblers be able to hold them off?
