Grand Lake waltzed into their matchup on Friday with ten straight wins... but they left with 11. They never let the Northside Christian Warriors get on the board and left with a 13-0 victory. The Hornets might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won 13 games by six runs or more this season.

Grand Lake's win was their sixth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 20-5. Those home victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.3 runs on average over those games. As for Northside Christian, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 4-13.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Grand Lake will venture away from home to face off against Merryville at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Northside Christian, they will square off against Elizabeth at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday. The Bulldogs' pitching crew has only allowed four runs per game this season, so the Warriors' hitters will have their work cut out for them.
