Volleyball Recap: Northview Has No Trouble Against Cascade

Northview had to skate by with only a one-set margin when they last took the court, which might have inspired the three-set drubbing they dealt Cascade on Tuesday. The Knights blew past the Cadets 3-0. The win continues a trend for the Knights in their matchups with the Cadets: they've now won seven in a row.

The 3-0 score doesn't show just how dominant Northview was: they took every set by at least ten points. The final score came out to 25-15, 25-15, 25-12.

Brinley Deakins was the offensive standout of the game as she had 18 digs and three assists. She is on a roll when it comes to digs, as she's now had ten or more in each of the last six games she's played. Another player making a difference was Addi Dehart, who had ten assists and three digs.

Northview was lethal from the service line and finished the game with ten aces. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Cascade only served three aces.

Suzy Moore and Taylor Rose certainly did their best on Tuesday to avoid the loss. Moore had 15 digs and one assist, while Rose had eight digs.

Northview's victory bumped their record up to 7-4. As for Cascade, their loss dropped their record down to 6-4.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Northview will venture away from home to square off against Bloomington South at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Cascade, they will head out to challenge Covenant Christian at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
