In what's become a running theme this season, the Syracuse Titans gave their fans yet another huge victory on Friday. They claimed a resounding 59-23 win over Layton at home. The win was nothing new for Syracuse as they're now sitting on four straight.
Syracuse's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Avery Sanders, who scored 14 points along with four steals. Sanders hasn't dropped below two steals for three straight games. Cortnie Barker was another key contributor, scoring 16 points along with six rebounds.
When it comes to explaining why Layton lost, one person who can't be blamed is Avery Potter. Despite the final result, she scored seven points.
Syracuse pushed their record up to 10-3 with that victory, which was their third straight at home. As for Layton, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 5-9.
Syracuse the luxury of staying home another game and will welcome Weber at 5:15 p.m. on January 16th. Hopefully Weber focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 17 on Friday. As for Layton, they will head out on the road to challenge Davis at 5:15 p.m. on Tuesday. Davis will be coming into the contest with an undefeated record on the line.
