Softball Recap: Crystal Lake Central Has No Trouble Against Mchenry

Crystal Lake Central barely beat McHenry the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. The Tigers were the clear victors by a 10-0 margin over the Warriors on Thursday. Considering the Tigers have won 12 matches by more than five runs this season, Thursday's blowout was nothing new.

Crystal Lake Central's victory was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 17-5. Those road wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 10.0 runs over those games. As for McHenry, their defeat ended a three-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 12-14.

Coming up, Crystal Lake Central will welcome Saint Viator at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday. The Lions have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed nine runs per game on average), something the Tigers will no doubt try to take advantage of. As for McHenry, they will head out to challenge Barrington at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday.
