Southern Christian had to skate by with only a one-run margin when they last took the field, which might have inspired the eight-run drubbing they dealt Evangel Christian Academy on Monday. The Patriots were the clear victors by a 13-5 margin over the Lions. The result was nothing new for the Patriots, who have now won six games by six runs or more so far this season.

Southern Christian got a massive performance out of Trey Chamberlin, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with one home run and three RBI. That's the most hits Chamberlin has posted since back in March. Noah Sawhill also deserves some recognition as he hit his first double of the season.

Chamberlin wasn't the only one working in the home run department: Southern Christian lost a few balls and finished the game with two home runs. That's the most home runs they've managed all season.

The win (which was Southern Christian's fourth in a row) raised their record to 11-9. The victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 9.3 runs over those games. As for Evangel Christian Academy, they dropped their record down to 0-8 with the defeat, which was their eighth straight at home dating back to last season.

Southern Christian has already played their next match (against Heritage Christian), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. Evangel Christian Academy does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
