Jeffersonville is 0-3 against Center Grove since October of 2015 but things could change on Friday. After each having a week off, the two teams will shake off the cobwebs and hit the field against one another at 7:00 p.m. Keep an eye on the score for this one: the two teams posted some lofty point totals in their previous games.
Last Friday, Jeffersonville strolled past Jennings County with points to spare, taking the game 35-21. The Red Devils pushed the score to 28-7 by the end of the third, a deficit the Panthers cut but never quite recovered from.

Jeffersonville got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Darien Williams out in front who rushed for 157 yards and one score while picking up 7.5 yards per carry. That's the most rushing yards Williams has posted since back in August. Nation Roe-mcbroom was in the mix as well, providing Jeffersonville with two touchdowns.
Meanwhile, Center Grove faced Bloomington South in a battle between two of the state's top teams last Friday. The Trojans blew past the Panthers 33-12. The result was nothing new for the Trojans, who have now won four games by 21 points or more so far this season.
Center Grove's win came from a few key players Jeffersonville will need to keep an eye on. One of the most notable was Jayden Biggerstaff, who rushed for 67 yards and one TD on only seven carries. His longest rush was for an impressive 54 yards, which helps to explain his lofty yards per carry total. The team also got some help courtesy of Oscar Sloan, who threw for 223 yards and a pair of touchdowns.
Center Grove didn't let much get past them through the air: they limited Bloomington South to a completion percentage of just 38.1%. The Trojans weren't nearly as limited: they posted one of 58.6%.
Center Grove didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off three passes before the game was over. It was truly a group effort as Jeremy Stanley, Ryan Mokaya, and Franky Hayse picked up one apiece. Hayse is also on a roll when it comes to total tackles, as he's now made five or more in each of the last ten games he's played dating back to last season. Center Grove got some further help from Kobe Cherry: he made 12 total tackles (2.0 for loss).
Center Grove's win was their seventh straight on the road dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 8-1. The road victories came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 12.0 points on average over those games. As for Jeffersonville, their record is now 4-5.
Jeffersonville took a serious blow against Center Grove in their previous matchup back in November of 2024, falling 72-7. Can the Red Devils avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
