Silsbee had already proven themselves in the regular season and they didn't miss a beat now that it's playoff time. They put the hurt on the Madisonville Mustangs with a sharp 11-1 victory on Saturday. The result was nothing new for the Tigers, who have now won 14 games by six runs or more so far this season.

The win (which was Silsbee's eighth in a row) raised their record to 22-11. The victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 10.1 runs over those games. As for Madisonville, they are on a five-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 11-15.

Coming up, Silsbee will take on Hamshire-Fannett at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Madisonville does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
