After soaring to 38 points the game before, Westside faltered in their game on Friday. They lost to Cross Creek by a decisive 7-27 margin. If Westside were expecting to get some payback for the 20-26 defeat against Cross Creek the last time they met, then they were left disappointed.
The loss dropped Westside's record to 1-4. The win got Cross Creek back to even at 3-3.
Westside will be staying on the road next week, facing off against Butler. Both of those teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'. As for Cross Creek, they will face off against Burke County. Those two teams come into the match bolstered by wins in their previous games.
