Oakley Scheibe made a splash no matter where she played. She looked comfortable on the mound, keeping things locked down with no earned runs or hits while striking out 13 over five innings pitched. She has been consistent: she hasn't tossed less than seven strikeouts in five consecutive appearances. She was also big at the plate, going 3-for-4 with two stolen bases, two runs, and one triple. That's the most hits she has posted since back in March.
In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Avery Reynolds, who got on base in three of her four plate appearances with two stolen bases and two runs. That's the most stolen bases she has posted since back in April of 2025. Maci Haskins also deserves some recognition as she hit her first triple of the season.
Meanwhile, Vallivue faced Middleton in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Friday. The Falcons lost 13-2 to the Vikings. The Falcons' loss signaled the end of their three-game winning streak.
Kenley Leuthold was cooking despite her team's loss, going 1-for-3 with one home run and two RBI.

Vallivue's hitters will have their work cut out for them on Tuesday. Emmett has been retiring batters left and right this season, having averaged 7.7 strikeouts per game. It's a different story for Vallivue, though, as they've been averaging only 3.9 strikeouts. Will Emmett keep running through batters, or will the Falcons buck the trend?
Emmett suffered a grim 17-3 defeat to Vallivue in their previous meeting two weeks ago. Can the Huskies avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
