Last Monday, Christ Our Rock Lutheran strolled past Ramsey with points to spare, taking the game 51-35. Christ Our Rock Lutheran pushed the score to 45-22 by the end of the third, a deficit Ramsey cut but never quite recovered from.
Meanwhile, Metro-East Lutheran's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Tuesday after their fifth straight defeat. They took a serious blow against Gibault Catholic, falling 63-29. Metro-East Lutheran has not had much luck with Gibault Catholic recently, as the team's come up short the last six times they've met.
Despite the loss, Metro-East Lutheran had strong showings from Isabelle McLeod, who dropped a double-double on ten points and ten rebounds, and Grace Hopp, who scored eight points along with two steals.
Christ Our Rock Lutheran's victory bumped their record up to 8-16. As for Metro-East Lutheran, their defeat dropped their record down to 3-23.
Christ Our Rock Lutheran took their win against Metro-East Lutheran in their previous meeting back in November of 2023 by a conclusive 45-19. The rematch might be a little tougher for Christ Our Rock Lutheran since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
