Jackson Howell gave up the fewest earned runs he has since back in April on Monday. Ipswich had no answer to Howell as he struck out nine batters over five innings while giving up just one earned (and one unearned) run off five hits (and only one walk). Whittier RVT is 3-1 when Howell allows two or fewer earned runs, but 4-8 otherwise.
