The South Putnam Eagles won the last time they faced the Cloverdale Clovers, and things went their way on Friday too. South Putnam strolled past Cloverdale with points to spare, taking the game 63-47.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead South Putnam to victory, but perhaps none more so than Cam Bozell, who scored 18 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Khalil Jefferson, who dropped a double-double on 14 points and 11 rebounds.
South Putnam is on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four contests, which provided a nice bump to their 7-11 record this season. As for Cloverdale, they are on a 13-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-19.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. South Putnam will face off against Southmont at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Hopefully South Putnam focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up eight on Friday. As for Cloverdale, they will head out on the road to face off against West Vigo at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Cloverdale is coming into the contest with five straight defeats on the road, meaning West Vigo will have to defend against a squad hungry for a victory.
