Daniel Harper ran for two touchdowns and
Nathan Jones added two as well as
Scio (Ore.) defeated
Rainier (Ore.) 30-21 on Saturday.
After taking the lead on a touchdown run, the Columbians went into halftime with a 15-14 lead. The Loggers took the lead for good with a touchdown run by Jones in the third quarter.
Scio also won the meeting between the two teams last season, 30-28.
The defeat comes as a step back for Rainier, which notched a 39-12 victory over Blanchet Catholic in its previous outing. The loss snapped Rainier's 3-game winning streak.
RHS (9-4) faces off against Scio in a playoff game its next time out. The Loggers enter the contest having posted a 10-1.
