Even though the Kanab Cowboys have not done well against the Enterprise Wolves recently (they were 1-8 in their previous nine matchups), they didn't let the past get in their way on Friday. Kanab walked away with a 59-47 win over Enterprise. Winning may never get old, but Kanab sure is getting used to it with their fourth in a row.
Kanab's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Kyle Brown, who scored 16 points along with six rebounds and five assists. Another player making a difference was Cash Mortensen, who scored 11 points along with seven rebounds and five assists.
Treyson Whitman and Brady Crouch certainly did their best on Friday to avoid the loss. Whitman scored 21 points along with six rebounds, while Crouch scored 19 points. Whitman has been hot recently, having posted 16 or more points the last four times he's played. Dax Hunt was another key contributor, scoring no points along with ten assists and seven rebounds.
Kanab pushed their record up to 16-5 with that victory, which was their fourth straight on the road. As for Enterprise, their defeat ended a six-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 15-6.
Kanab will take on Water Canyon at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Hopefully Water Canyon focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 23 on Friday. As for Enterprise, they will head out on the road to take on Millard at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Enterprise is facing Millard at the right time seeing as Millard is stuck on a 21-game losing streak.
