They ended up on the wrong side of a tough 62-41 walloping at the hands of Odyssey Charter School. The contest was a close 20-17 at the break, but unfortunately for Pineapple Cove Classical Academy it sure didn't stay that way.
Pineapple Cove Classical Academy lost despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Michael Barna, who scored 12 points along with eight rebounds and four steals. Another player making a difference was Anthony Bender, who scored 11 points along with five rebounds and two steals.
Pineapple Cove Classical Academy bumped their record down to 3-12 with that loss, which was their sixth straight at home dating back to last season. As for Odyssey Charter School, the win was the third in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 6-6.
Pineapple Cove Classical Academy will be playing at home against Naples Classical at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in Florida (Naples Classical is ranked 757th, while Pineapple Cove Classical Academy is ranked 779th). As for Odyssey Charter School, they will head out on the road to take on Master's Academy at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Master's Academy is coming into the matchup on a four-game losing streak.
