This season hasn't been kind to the Olympus Spartans, who are still winless after their fourth match. They fell 68-57 to Life Center Academy on Friday. Olympus was given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Warriors apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in February of 2023.
Elijah Brown was his usual excellent self, scoring 23 points for Life Center Academy. Brown is on a roll when it comes to points, as he's now scored 15 or more in the last 11 games he's played. Another player making a difference was Keith Brown Jr, who scored 11 points along with eight rebounds and five assists.
Olympus' loss dropped their record down to 0-4. As for Life Center Academy, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won four of their last five matches, which provided a nice bump to their 24-9 record this season.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Olympus will take on the Centurions at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Cross Christian Academy knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with flashy point totals in its past nine matchups -- so hopefully the Spartans like a good challenge. As for Life Center Academy, they will be playing at home against the Blue Pride at 4:00 p.m. on Monday.
