The University Christian Barracudas scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Tuesday. They walked away with a 51-39 victory over Salem Baptist Christian. The win was some much needed relief for University Christian as it spelled an end to their three-game losing streak.
Among those leading the charge was Reece Morin, who dropped a double-double on 18 points and ten rebounds. As a matter of fact, that's the most points he has scored all season. Patrick Garmon was another key contributor, scoring ten points.
Salem Baptist Christian's loss came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Mason Gregg, who scored 11 points along with five rebounds and two steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Parker Copeland, who scored ten points.
University Christian's win ended a 12-game drought at home dating back to last season and bumped them up to 2-10. As for Salem Baptist Christian, they dropped their record down to 1-19 with that loss, which was their third straight on the road.
Coincidentally, the two teams will both be playing Davidson Day the next time they take the court. University Christian will head out to face the Patriots at 7:00 p.m. on Monday, while the Vikings will host them at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
