Softball Recap: Lake Hamilton Wins Going Away Against Hot Springs

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Sheridan, Lake Hamilton was happy to have turned things around on Tuesday. They put the hurt on the Hot Springs Trojans with a sharp 17-7 victory. Considering the Wolves have won six games by more than nine runs this season, Tuesday's blowout was nothing new.

Remy Wozniak was incredible, getting on base in three of her four plate appearances with four runs and one triple. Those four runs gave her a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Kaitlyn Guthrie, who went 2-for-3 with three runs, one stolen base, and one RBI.

Lake Hamilton always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .657. That's the best OBP they've posted all season.

Lake Hamilton now has a winning record of 8-7. As for Hot Springs, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 3-8.

Coming up, Lake Hamilton will challenge Little Rock Christian Academy at 4:30 p.m. on Monday. As for Hot Springs, they will square off against Watson Chapel at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. The Trojans are facing the Wildcats at the right time seeing as the Wildcats are stuck on a five-game losing streak.
