Basketball Recap: Foothills Christian Extends Winning Streak to Four

Foothills Christian entered their tilt with High Tech SD on Saturday with three consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with four. They enjoyed a cozy 65-50 win over the High Tech SD Storm. For the Knights, this counts as revenge for the 69-43 victory the Storm walked away with the last time they faced one another back in November of 2022.

Foothills Christian got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Joey Turk out in front who posted 22 points. With that strong performance, Turk is now averaging an impressive 15.2 points per game. Patrick Delahoussaye was another key player, putting up 20 points.

When it comes to explaining why High Tech SD lost, don't look at Sebastian Blackaller. Despite the final result, he went 7 of 11 en route to 16 points and five boards. The team also got some help courtesy of Anthony Gonzalez, who went 5 for 12 on his way to 11 points in addition to eight assists and six rebounds.

Foothills Christian has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won nine of their last ten contests, which provided a nice bump to their 14-9 record this season. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 59.7 points per game. As for High Tech SD, they have traveled a rocky road recently having lost six of their last seven games, which put a noticeable dent in their 5-13 record this season.

Foothills Christian wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next matchup, a 54-48 victory against Calvin Christian on the 28th. As for High Tech SD, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 57-53 loss against Crawford on the 29th.
