Clear Brook is 0-9 against Dickinson since October of 2014 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Friday. The Clear Brook Wolverines will head out on the road to face off against the Dickinson Gators at 7:00 p.m. Clear Brook will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Texas Rankings (they are ranked 496th, while Dickinson is ranked 16th).
Clear Brook fell victim to Clear Springs' stalwart defense on Friday and couldn't make it onto the board. They took a serious blow against the Chargers, falling 48-0. Clear Brook has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
Meanwhile, Dickinson had already won seven in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 31.9 points), and they went ahead and made it eight on Friday. They didn't even let Clear Creek onto the board and left with a 34-0 win. Considering Dickinson has won seven matchups by more than 20 points this season, Friday's blowout was nothing new.
Clear Springs' victory bumped their season record to 6-4 while Clear Brook's defeat dropped theirs to 3-6.
Clear Brook was taken down by Dickinson 45-7 in their previous meeting back in November of 2022. Thankfully for Clear Brook, Marquis Johnson (who picked up 88 receiving yards and a touchdown, and also punched in a touchdown on the ground) won't be suiting up this time. Will that be enough to change the final result? There's only one way to find out.
