After soaring to 59 points the game before, the Lutheran-Northeast Eagles were a bit more limited in their game on Saturday. They were dealt a 57-21 defeat at the hands of St. Francis. Lutheran-Northeast was in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 55-8.
Lutheran-Northeast's loss came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Kealy Ranslem, who scored seven points. Another player making a difference was Josie Spence, who scored five points.
Lutheran-Northeast's defeat dropped their record down to 3-15. As for St. Francis, they are on a roll lately: they've won six of their last seven contests, which provided a massive bump to their 11-7 record this season.
Lutheran-Northeast will head out on the road to take on Riverside at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. Riverside is out to stop a three-game streak of losses at home. St. Francis will take on Central Valley at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
