The Barnesville Shamrocks put another one in the bag on Friday to keep their perfect season alive. They blew past South Point 56-20 at home. Fans of Barnesville have seen this all before: every one of the games they've played this season ended as a blowout.
Despite the loss, South Point still got an impressive performance from Elijah Wilburn, who rushed for 71 yards and a touchdown on only eight carries.
Barnesville's victory was their sixth straight at home, bumping their overall record up to 11-0. Those victories were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 47.2 points per game. As for South Point, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 5-6.
Barnesville will look to defend their home field on Friday against Columbus Academy at 7:00 p.m. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in Ohio (Columbus Academy is ranked 185th, while Barnesville is ranked 169th). South Point does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
