Eastern has enjoyed the comforts of home their last five games, but now they'll head out on the road. They will take on the Ballou Knights at 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in District of Columbia (Eastern is ranked ninth, while Ballou is ranked 15th).
Last Monday, Eastern was beaten by Jackson-Reed 85-48. Eastern has struggled against Jackson-Reed recently, as their contest on Monday was their third consecutive lost matchup.
Despite the loss, Eastern got a solid performance out of Rashid Faruq, who scored 19 points. The game was Faruq's fifth in a row with at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Isyah Joyner, who scored eight points.
Meanwhile, Ballou entered their tilt with School Without Walls with two consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with three. The stars were shining brightly for Ballou in a 60-45 victory over School Without Walls on Monday.
Eastern's defeat dropped their record down to 4-2. As for Ballou, they now have a winning record of 5-4.
Eastern suffered a grim 55-35 defeat to Ballou when the teams last played back in January. Can Eastern avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
