They wound up with the same score they had in their last game (5-1), but sadly the team found themselves on the wrong side of the score this time. They were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Orangemen earlier this season, when they won 3-1.
Platteview got a good showing from Bryson Douglas, who pitched 2.1 innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. What's more, Douglas gave up only zero walks, the fewest he's had since back in March.
At the plate, Andre Dominguez made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and got on base in three of his four plate appearances with one run and one double.
Platteview's defeat dropped their record down to 10-9. As for Beatrice, they now have a winning record of 9-8.
