The Marysville Monarchs fell victim to the Olentangy Berlin Bears''s stalwart defense on Friday and couldn't make it onto the board. They ended up on the wrong side of a tough 20-0 walloping at the hands of the Bears. While losing is never fun, Marysville can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Ohio football rankings (they are ranked 138th, while Olentangy Berlin is ranked 19th).
Olentangy Berlin can attribute much of their success to Harrison Brewster, who rushed for 114 yards and a touchdown.
Marysville has not been sharp recently, as they've lost six of their last eight contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 4-7 record this season. As for Olentangy Berlin, the victory was the tenth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 10-1.
Marysville does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Olentangy Berlin will be playing at home against Perrysburg at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
