Volleyball Recap: Oconto Has No Trouble Against Kewaunee

Oconto barely beat Kewaunee the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. The Blue Devils were the clear victors by a 3-0 margin over the Storm on Thursday. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Blue Devils.

Oconto never let Kewaunee on the board, but things got pretty close in the first set. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 27-25, 25-16, 25-17.

Braiya Wusterbarth was the offensive standout of the match as she had 21 digs and one assist. That's the most digs she has posted over her last six contests.

Despite the loss, Kewaunee still got an impressive performance from Gabby Stangel, who had 16 digs and two aces. Stangel is on a roll when it comes to digs, as she's now had 14 or more in each of the last ten games she's played.

Oconto's win bumped their record up to 18-7. As for Kewaunee, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 10-7.

Oconto has already played their next matchup, a 2-0 victory against Lomira on the 11th. As for Kewaunee, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 2-0 loss against Green Bay N.E.W. Lutheran on the 11th.
