After flying high against the South Dade Buccaneers on Monday, the Braddock Bulldogs came back down to earth. Braddock received a tough blow on Wednesday as they fell 51-34 to Northwestern. Braddock has not had much luck with Northwestern recently, as the team's come up short the last two times they've met.
When it comes to explaining why Braddock lost, one person who can't be blamed is Elsa Stier . Despite the final result, she dropped a double-double on 18 points and 12 rebounds. The matchup was Stier 's fourth in a row with at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Yvonne Jebian , who scored 4 points along with 5 rebounds and 3 steals.
Braddock's loss dropped their record down to 2-2. As for Northwestern, the victory got them back to even at 1-1.
Braddock will look to defend their home court on Friday against Ferguson at 3:30 p.m. As for Northwestern, they will head out on the road to face off against Southridge at 5:00 p.m. on Friday. Southridge will be coming into the matchup with an undefeated record on the line.
