The Logan/Palco fell victim to the Victoria Knights''s stalwart defense on Thursday and couldn't make it onto the board. They took a serious blow against the Knights, falling 54-0. While losing is never fun, Logan/Palco can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Kansas football rankings (they are ranked 89th, while Victoria is ranked eighth).
Rhett Kats threw for 61 yards on four of 17 attempts. Carson Knipp was his top target, rushing for 19 yards.
Logan/Palco's loss was their fourth straight on the road, which dropped their overall record down to 2-6. That rough patch could be blamed on the team's offensive performance across that stretch, as they only averaged 17.5 points per game. As for Victoria, the win (which was their seventh in a row) raised their record to 6-1.
Logan/Palco will head out on the road to face off against Victoria at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Victoria knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with flashy point totals in its past seven games -- so hopefully Logan/Palco likes a good challenge. As for Victoria, they will look to defend their home field against Logan/Palco at 7:00 p.m.
