Xenia is 1-9 against Sidney since January of 2019 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Thursday. The Xenia Buccaneers will be playing at home against the Sidney Yellowjackets at 6:00 p.m. Expect the scorekeeper to be kept busy: if their previous games are any indication, both teams will really light up the scoreboard.
Last Saturday, Xenia took their match on the road with ease, bagging a 65-38 victory over Piqua. With that win, Xenia brought their scoring average up to 55.5 points per game.
Xenia's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Nataiya Madison, who dropped a double-double on 13 points and 16 rebounds. Another player making a difference was Tayler Elliott, who scored 20 points.
Meanwhile, Sidney unfortunately witnessed the end of their three-game winning streak on Monday. They took a 69-64 hit to the loss column at the hands of Bath. Despite running the score up even higher than they did on Saturday (59), Sidney still had to take the loss.
Xenia's victory lifted them to 2-0 while Piqua's loss dropped them down to 0-3.
Xenia took a serious blow against Sidney when the teams last played back in February, falling 66-37. Will Xenia have more luck at home instead of on the road? Check back here after the action for a full breakdown and analysis of the contest.
