The Philip Scotties will head out on the road to face off against the Faith Longhorns at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday. Hopefully Philip focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 19 on Thursday.
On Thursday, even if it wasn't a dominant performance, Philip beat Stanley County 44-40. The win made it back-to-back wins for Philip.
Philip's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Fayth Martin led the charge by scoring eight points along with 13 rebounds. Josie Jones was another key contributor, dropping a double-double on 14 points and 12 rebounds.
Meanwhile, Faith entered their tilt with Kadoka with two consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with three. Faith managed a 48-42 win over Kadoka on Saturday.
Philip's win ended a three-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 2-0. As for Faith, their win bumped their record up to 3-0.
Philip came up short against Faith in their previous matchup back in February, falling 55-50. Can Philip avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
