Washington extended their winning streak to three on Tuesday, bumping them up to 4-3. Everything went their way against the Mission San Jose Warriors as they made off with a 13-2 win. The Huskies might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won three contests by ten runs or more this season.
Ynez Lopez and Aubree Rambaran made a big impact while hitting and pitching. On the mound, Lopez tossed one inning while giving up no earned runs or hits. Meanwhile, Rambaran tossed four innings while giving up just two earned runs off four hits. She has been consistent: she hasn't given up more than one walk in six consecutive appearances. At bat, Lopez went 2-for-3 with two RBI, one run, and one double, while Rambaran went a perfect 3-for-3 with three runs, one triple, and one RBI. That's the most RBI Lopez has posted since back in May of 2025.
In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Molly Racklin, who went 2-for-3 with two triples, two runs, and two RBI. Those triples were her first of the season. The team also got some help courtesy of Elena Fotopoulos, who went 2-for-3 with two runs, two doubles, and two RBI.
Washington always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .593. They are a perfect 3-0 when they post an OBP of .513 or better.
As for Mission San Jose, they now have a losing record of 1-2. Having soared to a lofty 16 runs in the game before, they couldn't push the score so high this time.
On Mission San Jose's side, they saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Vanessa Zamora, who went 1-for-2 with two RBI and one double. Another was Aria Gokani, who went 2-for-3 with one run and one double.
We've got plenty of inter-league action coming up soon. Washington is set to challenge their familiar foe American at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday. Meanwhile, Mission San Jose will face off against rival Irvington at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday.
