The Calvary Chapel Grizzlies will look to defend their home field on Saturday against the Blair Vikings at 6:00 p.m. Calvary Chapel will be strutting in after a victory while Blair will be coming in after a loss.
Last Friday, Calvary Chapel got themselves on the board against Sherman Oaks CES, but Sherman Oaks CES never followed suit. They blew past the Knights, posting a 38-0 win at home. The win was just what Calvary Chapel needed coming off of a 54-30 loss in their prior contest.
Calvary Chapel's success was spearheaded by the efforts of Josh Lennear, who threw for 78 yards and two touchdowns, and Will Larsen, who gained 106 total yards and two touchdowns. Xavier Hernandez also deserves a mention for his punt return touchdown.
Blair played against California School for the Deaf-Riverside and lost via forfeit.
Calvary Chapel's win bumped their record up to 4-4. As for Blair, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 1-5.
