Avilika Arana made a splash while hitting and pitching. She didn't allow a single earned run while striking out eight over five innings pitched. She also allowed five hits, marking her first of the season. She was also stellar in the batter's box, going a perfect 3-for-3 with five RBI, two runs, and one stolen base. Those five RBI gave her a new career-high.
In other batting news, Priscilla Bidriezca was excellent, scoring three runs and stealing a base while going 1-for-2. She has been hot recently, having posted at least one stolen base the last three times she's played. Meeya Abaoag was another key player, going 2-for-3 with two RBI and one double.
San Jacinto Valley Academy always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .615. That was just more of the same: they've now posted an OBP of .607 or higher in three consecutive matches.

The batters for both teams will have to hit smart on Monday as both have some strikeout artists on the roster. California Military Institute has been retiring batters left and right this season, having averaged 7.3 strikeouts per game. However, it's not like San Jacinto Valley Academy struggles in that department as they've been averaging 7.9 strikeouts. Considering how easily both teams rack up Ks, the hitters on both teams better bring their A-game into this one.
