Melbourne got themselves on the board against Valley Springs on Tuesday, but Valley Springs never followed suit. They blew past the Tigers 15-0. The result was nothing new for the Bearkatz, who have now won 14 matches by six runs or more so far this season.

Melbourne's win was their ninth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 16-2. Those home victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 12.6 runs over those games. As for Valley Springs, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 12-9.
