The Brentwood War Eagles''s three-game losing streak came to an end on Friday. They really took it to Piedmont Academy for the full four quarters, racking up a 42-3 win at home. The victory was just what Brentwood needed coming off of a 35-6 defeat in their prior matchup.
Brentwood got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Zach Denton out in front who rushed for 112 yards and two touchdowns on only 13 carries. The team also got some help courtesy of Drew Carter, who gained 120 total yards and a touchdown.
Brentwood's win bumped their record up to 4-4. As for Piedmont Academy, their loss was their fourth straight on the road, which dropped their overall record down to 2-6.
Brentwood will look to defend their home field on Friday against Trinity Christian at 7:30 p.m. Piedmont Academy does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
