On Friday, Bennington put the finishing touches on their 4th blowout victory of the season. They were the clear victor by a 58-30 margin over Goessel. The rankings were on Bennington's side, but they didn't forecast quite such a lopsided result.
Junior Javon Allen, who rushed for 99 yards and 2 touchdowns, was a major factor in Bennington's success. Additional support came from defensive powerhouse freshman Brody Murk, who racked up 12 tackles.
Bennington will be staying on the road next week, facing off against Burlingame. Since neither squad is a stranger to landslide victories this season, you'd better bet it will be hard-fought showdown. Goessel will stay at home against Chase County at 7:00 PM. Neither of these teams wants a repeat from their last game since each was dealt a considerable defeat.
